Dear Crouse Community Learning Center Neighbor,
We would like to invite you into the school/community garden at Crouse! Our third graders have worked very hard to create a wonderful garden for our community this year. With the help of the Gardeners of Greater Akron we planted quite a variety of vegetables for our community to enjoy. We planted green beans, yard long green beans, cucumbers, armenian cucumbers, lemon yellow cucumbers, eggplant, lettuce, peas, potatoes, giant pumpkin, white pumpkin, radishes, yellow squash, pink banana squash, strawberries, tomatoes, and watermelon. There is also a diverse selection of flowers and shrubs to encourage bees and butterflies to pollinate our garden. We also have two benches for your comfort when you visit and work in the garden.
We want to make sure that you, as our neighbors know that you are welcome in our school/community garden at any time. We, along with Gardeners of Greater Akron, will be in the garden throughout the summer. We hope to meet, work, and fellowship with you in the garden!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Julia Spangler and the 3rd grade students
