Crouse student Naeomie Harris was given the opportunity to present in
Akron in Action on Friday, September 29th, 2022.
Akron in Action was a three day event designed to share how Akron Public Schools developed the College & Career Academies of Akron. Naeomie Harris participated in a panel of students as the elementary school representative. She shared with leaders from all over the country about her 4th grade essential experience to the Akron Art Museum.
Naeomie spoke about her favorite art piece from the museum titled "
Girlfriends and Lovers" by Mickalene Thomas. She also gave ideas about how the art museum could improve their activities for future essential experiences to the museum.
After participating on the panel, Naeomie also spoke in a break-out session with principal Mrs. Tara Bruce-Bentley about the
Leader in Me program at Crouse CLC. The presentation focused on giving students opportunities to lead; something Crouse CLC believes strongly.
